One to One Somatic Psychotherapy & Mindfulness Coaching

A mindful, ecological and race-sensitive approach

I offer One to One Somatic Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Coaching ONLINE (wherever you are) and IN PERSON (Brighton UK), facilitating a confidential space to discover your unique inner being and explore aspects of the lived experience that have become tangled.  
Sessions follow what is necessary for the flowering of the individual, and can include dance and movement, body-centred enquiry, talking and exploring appropriate questions. This supports deepening understanding and the evolution of your inherent wisdom.
Mindfulness coaching can be the focus or integrated within the session.  Skills you will develop include clarity, calm, self-love and kindness.  Being witnessed in co-created presence can be valuable for ongoing personal enquiry, creativity, love and happiness.

What happens in a session?

We work directly through the body in stillness and in movement, integrating words and talking. Physical movement, sensations, emotions, thoughts, sounds and images are included, allowing subtle and emergent states to be experienced, expressed and compassionately witnessed. This often fulfills a deep longing to be clearly felt, seen and heard.  Space can be made for new ways of expression and relating to be explored.
My approach supports healing pain and difficulty in our lives, insights into how we relate to others, and the cultivation of clarity, aliveness and wellbeing. This can lead to a renewed sense of purpose or direction and increased energy and motivation.  The aim is help you live more freely, fully and authentically.
One to One Somatic Psychotherapy can enrich meditation practice and provide individual support for integrating experiences with other dance modalities.
I only work short-term and suggest an initial one-off session before you make a commitment to six weeks. This will give you a feel for the way that I work and to see if sessions with me are suitable. At least a six week commitment gives you the opportunity to deepen into your unfolding process.
As a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK since 2003, I adhere to high ethical and professional standards, and approach each therapeutic relationship with care and respect for each persons unfolding.
As a female of Indian, moslem heritage with mixed race children, I am a member of  BAATN, The Black and Asian Therapists Network, and am in ongoing enquiry of, and respectful of race and diversity issues.

50 minute in-person outdoor walking / movement / talking sessions in Stanmer Park, Brighton UK
You-choose sliding scale according to your means £70-£150
